Charbonnel changes chef, the arrival of Sébastien Riou at the head of the restaurant revolutionizes gastronomy with his creative, refined and elaborate side.

Samantha and Sébastien favor local trade with organic and seasonal produce. The Michelin-starred chef (formerly from Périgueux) has decided to stay in the Dordogne, and it's a real challenge. Don't expect to eat "classic" food at this institution, but rather to be surprised and won over by the mix of products and surprising combinations. Come and discover our world!

Chef Riou puts down his knives in Charbonnel's kitchen!

After 10 years at the piano of the restaurant "a flavor of greed" and obtaining a star in 2019 ...

In the kitchen, the chef Sebastien Riou says he shares the memory of his grandfather. "I grew up rocked by the stories of my grandfather, during our long walks, when he took me fishing, picking wild herbs or collecting mushrooms in our native Lorraine".
A journey alongside "his two mentors", Patrick Jeffroy with whom Sébastien develops his curiosity and assumes his personality, and Anne Sophie Pic who teaches him rigor, high standards but also humility.

On the client side, Samantha the hostess thinks of everything. From her luxurious experiences in Paris and elsewhere, she modernizes the establishment while keeping the soul of Le Charbonnel. Concerned about the smallest detail, a personalized welcome and attentive service, you will feel at home.

The Charbonnel experience is an accompaniment throughout your stay or your meal. Our mission is to make you live a unique experience.

In partnership with local producers, we will propose throughout the year an original and local menu made with fresh products.
Local by its dishes but also thanks to the artists and craftsmen who accompany us. Welcome to our dining room, where Nadège Tricard's lampshade creations, Christel Bories' paintings and Romain Sudret's lamps will illuminate your evening.

You want to have lunch after 2pm?
We are here for you! An on-the-go gastronomy menu will be proposed to you from June 1st.
Tuesday to Saturday, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm .

A wide selection of cocktails, classic and local aperitifs.

We propose to our customers to have a drink on the terrace or in our lobby and enjoy the calm of the river, or the jazzy sound of the lobby.

The bar is open every day from 10am to 11pm

Permanent renewal

To routine, we prefer audacity, discovery and change. That's why our menu is constantly changing. Every 5 weeks, our Chef prepares a brand new menu, based on local, fresh and seasonal products.
